The History of the Dora Mill
The Mill continued to grow after being acquired by Doran Textiles, LLC in the 1930s. This aerial photo was taken around the early 90s and shows the full span of the mill after years of growth and additions.
This invoice was recovered in 2024 in the files stored in the basement of the old offices on the corner of N Mountain St and W 4th St. It was the oldest invoice found amongst the records, being published on May 27th, 1938.
These relics of the Doran Mills era were recovered from the mill in 2024.
This sign and these spools of yarn were recovered from the repair shop in the mill in 2024.
The following three floorplan sketches were recovered in the office building on the corner of N Mountain St and W 4th St images. They show the floorplan of the mill as it stands today and how Doran Mills used the space to make its various products.
